Shooter Genre, what we love, what we didn't.

Ah the shooters, from wolfensteine to call of duty MW3. You can talk about any shooter, which one's your favorite, which ones do others like? For example Fallout, resident evil, dead space, portal's a stretch, but I guess it would count. Metriod, Halo, medal of honor, mass effect, you get the picture. One of my favorites would be resident evil 2, what's yours? Explain why.

okay, I'll start, in resident evil 2, I really sucked, I couldn't beat the game without having atleaste unlimited ammo.

Most shooters are now very generic, in my opinion.

It's usually:

Hey, follow this guy
Hey, defend this point
Hey, follow this guy
Hey, the guy you were following died
Hey, go to this marker
Hey, follow this guy
Hey, defend this point

Congratulations, you just saved -insert country here-

No story, bad (repetitive) gameplay, and the devs only care about multiplayer -_-

Everytime I say I play games, people assume that all I play is Cod, or another generic shooter. It's like a disease or something...

I'd have to say that hands down, my favorite game is Team Fortress 2. The game itself is very unique, (For example, no assault rifle type gun exists, nor is even considered by the devs) and the community is made up mostly of the classier and well meaning trolls like myself. It's super competitive, super relaxed, and super fun, all depending on your mindset when playing.

And of course, you can hit people with fish and throw pee.

That's the reason, i just can't win. When i'm playing Skyrim i wanna see what's going on the chatgroup, here and R-O, but when i do that, i wanna play Skyrim.
I just can't leave Skyrim for awhile to play TF2 where i'd get pw'ned.

Unless if there's a gun mod for Minecraft LOL. Okay, i like Counter-Strike: Source and i love being a camper.
